Rowan Atkinson is one British actor who is globally renowned for having garage full of some of extreme cars like the unique McLaren F1, Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe V16, Honda NSX, Honda Civic Hybrid, Audi A8, Aston Martin DBS V8 and many more. But his love and loyalty for the AMG brand has always been above any question. Especially when it comes to the Mercedes SLS AMG that uses a Mercedes-Benz 6.2-litre V8 engine for power.
As most of you probably would know that Atkinson had smashed his classic McLaren F1 pretty bad that the repairs bill were the highest in UK’s Insurance industry.
The production of Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has been going on since 2010 and it undoubtedly has given the world some amazing vehicles, but it will soon be leaving the assembly line, why? The answer is pretty simple; the Merc needs some extra room for the AMG GT which is a smaller version of this beast. It’s a two-seater luxury grand tourer powered by a front engine and driven by a rear-wheel drive system. The engine is a 6.2-litre V8 unit, which provides massive output of 563 hp and a peak torque of 650 Nm or 479 lb-ft. It uses a 7-speed sprts AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT gearbox to power through Rear Wheel Drive.
